During the June Holidays, I went to Beijing from the 17th to the 23rd! My school's Concert Band went there to take part in the Beijing International Band Festival 2008(A competition...)! The experience was GREAT!!!
Other than performing for the opening of the festival and the competition itself, we also went for shopping sprees, sight-seeing, 'feast' in many different restaurants, and most importantly falling in/out and sleeping in the hotel! The most memorable sight-seeing venue was The Great Wall of China! It was very tall, very long and very tiring! By the time we reached the 'top', everyone was very very very tired! I realised that I was the second girl to reach the 'top'... (Not to boast) I actually thought Rachael[Eupho], Hongkhai and Xinhao were already up there so I only wanted to catch up with them in case they laughed at me for being very slow and 'unfit'... But who knew... Anyway, there was a ride available for us to go down... I thought it was going to be really fast and was frantically asking over and over again whether it was going to be like a roller-coaster... They scared me saying it would be very very scary but later re-confirmed with me again that it would be slow... PHEW! Fortunately it was!=} The ride was very worth it, on our way down, we could see the breathtaking view from our seats! I took pictures from where I was sitting and got many 'good' photos...-.- Nvm, anyway, about our competition, we received 4th place in 7 Bands, though we made a lot of mistakes... Ohya, my favourite day and times- Visit to The Great Wall of China, Every time we spent in the bus(Without HK disturbing), the time we spent at the Bangkok airport on our last day... and maybe some other times I enjoyed!=}
The time we spent at the Bangkok airport on our last day- I traveled around with Rachael, further understood the personalities and characters of all my seniors, bought the section furball in hope that I would be able to control my temper, in hope that it wouldn't end up in a dustbin...Continuing... noticed something, felt relaxed for once(it was a government place and no aunty or whosoever would pull you into their shop and force you to buy and idiotic thing you don't want...), felt regretful, felt... emo...
Once when we went shopping, I was forced physically to buy an idiotic fake brand of a bag by an aunty! She was pratically tugging my arm and preventing me to leave, making sure I would not leave empty-handed...-.- An aunty even recommanded a Chiong-sam for Xinhao...LOL...
Overall, I enjoyed my trip to Beijing! I LOVE MY TRIP TO BEIJING!!!=}
Coming back to reality, today, I had Band!Mr Wong asked some instruments including the Flute 1 people to stand up and play a small part of 'Under the Flag of Glory' Since HK didn't come, Joyce and I were the only people in Flute 1... Sigh... In the beginning, I played the sound softly because I was afraid I might miss the timing or blow the wrong tune... Then later Mr wong jabbered something that made me realise that I needed to blow the notes strongly which meant I had to have courage and blow the notes out... Finally, the last time, I managed to blow out the notes loudly!=} After that, Mr Wong asked us to sit... I had the feeling he was waiting for me to get the right tune... And today, all the sec 1s were divided into sub-coms! I went into CID... I had the feeling it was Rachael who pulled me in, I actually wanted to be a QM but I musn't complain... I must understand that life isn't always fair, whatever you want to be, others also want to be, if He grants me my wish then that'll be unfair to others...Anyway, CID is a special name and we get to write reports... The ones we write will appear in the Bugle! =) CID, I will work my way up!
I hope I will be more courageous to play what I think is right! Goal- Familiarise with every song and play every time, work my way to beat the sec2s! JIAYOU, WANG WINNIE!!!

Sigh, my mother caught me playing computer when she came home a few days ago and now I can only play computer once/ twice every week... Awww... Well, today I finally get to use the computer... (She brought my brother for his swimming lessons...) So many things have happened and many more anre going to happen!
First, I came back from my Band Camp a few days ago... It's actually 3 days 2 nights! So, I packed my bags and was prepared for a 'fun' Camp... But... Nvm, just listen to the story!

Night1
Sleep on tables laid with our sleeping bags! Very uncomfortable! Twist and turn and slept only after 12:45am!Woke up at 1,3,5 and 5:45am! When I woke up, had a very messy hair!
Day2
(Everyone was discussing about the Night Walk!I am not really sure what happen so I will just continue with the Night Walk part...)
First, we gathered in LT1... We were put into groups... I was in Group 2 which means second group to suffer... Along with Janice from Percussion, two Secondary 2s and a Secondary3... We watched a horror movie first... Even the seniors weren't very sure they wanted to watch that movie...Haha... Then the groups were sent out one by one... We were given a short brief outside. Our first station was the Grand Audi Boys' toilet... When we were about to climb the steps up into the Grand Audi, someone banged the shutters which sent me jumping up! Then, we were supposed to be separated into 2 smaller temporary groups and my group was the second to enter... When we were climbing up the stairs, I closed my eyes and ears, suddenly, someone threw a mop head at my feet... That didn't scare me a bit because I was mentally prepared! Phew! We were suppose to find nail polish inside the toilet and polish on a finger nail... Janice and I just stood near the door while the Sec2 searched everywhere... Yes, we found it and left quickly... Next was the D & T block... The entire place was pitch dark! We gathered around while our facilitator played a recording for us. While listening, someone upstairs threw a dummy down but no one was shocked! We just mocked that it was dangerous to throw anything down, Haha! That time, our mission was to enter the female toilet between the 2nd and 3rd floor and get a lightstick inside! That was quite easy... We rushed up and someone kicked the door, another rush in to scare anyone behind the wall and another grab the lighstick! Then we continued to the third floor girls' toilet at the old block... When I heard that we were supposed to enter solo, fill our mouths with water from the 3rd basin on the left and spit it into a cup outside, I nearly fainted! Haha, exagerating again! I was the third person to do it... I entered with my eyes and ears closed and when I opened them, the entire toilet was lited with greenish light and I walked over to the third basin immediately, not daring to look into the mirror and rushed out after that... Nothing happened to me though there were three people in the toilet! Phew! The Last destination was the Innosphere girls' toilet... We were told to find a clue... We were told again to find other clues after we found the first... We couldn't get the clue so someone else led us up, we went down the stairs from another exit... We were told to find a thing and we were not told what thing... There were a bunch of hairbands at the end of the stairs and I immediately thought that was the thing so I told everyone but they continued looking... I explained that it had something to do with the story that was told before the entire hunt and since they couldn't find anything, we asked the facilitator... He said we were so slow in getting it and led us into another room beside... I thought there might be a booby trap so I prepared myself mentally again but the first group poped out from behind the wall to scare us!Haha! Then, together, the 1st and the 2nd group prepared to scare the next group but they didn't come for the next 30minutes! Haha! The next group came later and told us about the ending of the horror movie! So cool, I wished I stayed to watch! We spent the next few hours waiting for the rest of the next groups to appear in the stupid LT2! I almost fell asleep! Then we were sent back to bed later! Our group took 43 mins, the fastest- 41min, the slowest- 1hr plus!

Highlight- During breakfast, Hui Jun and I were sent to collect hot water from the Grand Audi to the canteen! I missed my breakfast! Sigh! And I practised so hard during sectionals!
The whole Camp wasn't fun, it was TORTURE CAMP!!!
Next, I am so worried about the Beijing trip! I hope I don't mess anything up! The costume is so... Long and white! Long is good but...nvm...
Third, Celine and I went to the library to borrow books for the chinese project! So difficult, there was a variety of good books! Nvm, then Celine found her Deathnote book and I decided to get a collection too...
Sigh, I feel so busy, I just checked my inbox, 19 new mail! Better start reading, there might be important ones!BB! Gotta get working!
