My opinion...
1st- It sounds better and heart warming, I really like this piece... It sounds beautiful and smooth.
If I had the abilities, I WOULD choose it! But in my current situation, I cannot hold nice
long notes without going out-of-tune crazily and according to Mr W., not many in the Band
can... SIGH~ To me, I think this song is VERY exposed so it is dangerous...
2nd- It sounds a little complicated but that's its essence... And mostly everything sounds great
too. And then, this will train everyone's listening skills cause we have to co-operate with
each other and make it sound VERY together. When everyone's together, then it will sound
good.The 'problem' is there are MANY running notes... So it will take a longer time for me
to figure the piece out... So I've decided that if it turns out to be this one, I will work hard to
get most of the song familiarized!
Conclusion: If I had good skills, I would definitely go for the first but currently, I don't think it will be good to have the judges hearing out of tuned notes everywhere... Then, since now, I need to train my hearing skills, I better go for the second... Challenge myself... -.- Okay, no matter which piece is chosen for the SYF, I WILL and MUST do my best to work on those pieces!!!
