Hearing that it's the eve of Christmas already sends this tingly feeling in my stomach~
To be totally honest, I thought Christmas would be much more lovelier than this. It's the eve of Christmas and I'm alone at home, sitting infront of my dear laptop and wondering what to do for the rest of the day. Well, my dad has arranged (kinda) for us to have dinner together later in the evening but for now, he has conveniently pangseh-ed me to go for his sports activity. Both my mum and my brother are working today. My boyfriend's stuck in camp for Christmas... :( It sucks to be me but I guess it can be worse for others. Well, if you think about it in a more positive light, there are many more occasions that we can celebrate together in the future. So I shouldn't be mopping about it... :( _____ OKAY, time to bring the mood up again!! I'm sorry I sound like some possessive/childish/whiny little girl.. I guess this is what being in a relationship does to you o_o *shrugs* While I was lazying in bed an hour ago, I thought of some plans for today! Three parts, to be specific. I'm going to have lunch while watching an episode of coffee prince. Then I'll blog about it. (This part to be revealed in the next blog post) In the mid-afternoon, I'm going to head to the city area to do my super crazy last minute Christmas shopping for a friend. I thought of what I'm going to get her liao~ Hopefully I time it well enough so my dad can fetch me back to our home to pick up my mum before heading for dinner. *crosses fingers* _____ Btw just a little update... Now that my finger is healing, I feel that my grip on the tchoukball has increased significantly. It excites me to think about the wonderful things I can do with this extra grip... *smirks* I'm that step closer to being a reliable player~ :) _____ I can't stand the font and my blog skin but I really am a total IT idiot... Ahhh! Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 11:46 AM Changes, subtle but influential
Sleeping in is something I really look forward to during weekends. Alhough it's not as if I don't get enough sleep, trying to meet my personal goal of waking at 8am everyday from Monday to Friday has been... tough. What makes a weekend morning beautiful for me is the first meal immediately after I wake up. Well, for today, I had macs >:) I think my lifestyle is quite unhealthy to be totally honest. Either I eat unhealthily or I skip. Most of my meals are what many call 'improper' meals. They don't make up a whole meal. For example, I just had pearly soya (soya milk from Mr Bean) and a pancake with cheese and sausages for dinner. At least I ate, okay? _____ Spent my whole afternoon on some school work - readings and studying. (Kinda proud of myself for completing more than I set out to) The remaining time was used to watch some videos and fiddle with my phone. _____ Blogging about my life can be really boring as you can see... *upwards pupil movement* Current thoughts at this moment: 1. I am looking forward to two things - playing tchoukball in mpsh 5 soon and watching the friendly soccer match between Brazil and Japan on Tuesday at the new national stadium! 2. Physical geog is interesting >:) 3. Should I start a new book tonight? _____ Just watched some of my favourite youtubers a moment ago. I noticed how Charlie no longer uses the Qualitea chop at the end of his video. :/ Well, this just goes to show how things change, people change. We can't expect someone to stay the same way forever. Furthermore, we are exposed to so many new influences in today's world and all of these contribute in shaping the way we think and live. It's just like how I spend more time watching youtube videos of some youtubers that I didn't even know of 2 years ago. The content in their videos actually affect the way I think. There are probably some ways in which I have changed and I may or may not be able to figure out what has changed about me. The people around me might or might not like the changes in me as well but these are all part of my life and how I grow up. If you're a friend and you see things that I ain't doing right, I trust that you'd tell me what I did wrong. So until I hear anything reasonable, I'm just going to live the way I want my life to be like. _____ Yeap, a light-hearted post about change but I just had to go on about the whole front section to update y'all on my life. Heh. But hey, you lasted so far and that says aload about you. I really don't know what I'm blabbering on about now. This happens... I guess. I might consider changing my blog design cause I can't stand the small words. Save y'all the misery and I'm going to end here. Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:38 PM The bear returns from hibernation... Hey!
*apologetic smile* Can you imagine how hard I studied for Alevels to abandon this blog for so long? Jokes aside, I'm truly relieved to complete my JC studies. I have collected my results and currently deciding which university and course to apply for. I did not do exceedingly well but it is the best results I have achieved ever since 2 years ago when I entered this school. I'm not really sure about the dream of becoming a psychologist now because I cannot really picture myself in that field when I grow up. The choice is between pharmacy and product design. Admission submissions for the latter is rather complicated and considering that I work 5.5days a week, it is going to be difficult. Well, I've gathered all the presentable drawings and sketches all over my room and managed to reach the minimum of 12 but it just seems so pathetic and I have the urge to redraw most of them... By the coming Saturday... Which is in 3 days. Gah~ I can do this! _____ Aside from the pending university applications, my life is currently revolving around a 6 months internship with RMG. As mentioned previously, I work 5.5 days a week which means a good 8 hours every weekday and half a day on Saturday. This excludes the necessary night shifts I take on because of the crowd of patients and the lack of manpower at our branch. How's work? Well, you win some and you lose some. Generally, I enjoy working with some of my colleagues and a few of the patients who make my day at work very pleasant but there's bound to be nasty attitude and undesirable situations that arises. Claiming that my job is stressful is certainly an understatement. Nobody really understands how it feels like to be one of us unless you're in our position. The amount of pressure felt daily is overwhelming and it comes not only from patients but from our colleagues and the strict regulations as well. The suffocating protocols and personal incompetencies drives me up the wall most of the time. The toughest part for me now would be the fact that I have to tolerate the attitude and actions of whoever I'm assigned to work with for a particular period of time despite how much disagreements screaming inside of me. This includes untidiness. I have never really gotten the chance to think of a solution for our lack of communication though and that's my only regret. A part of me looks forward to the end of the internship because work is really draining the hell out of me but at the same time, I am reluctant to leave my fellow colleagues... Oh well, treasure every day as it passes? _____ The feeling of typing on my laptop never fails to excite me~ Glad I am able to share this small portion of my life. If you're wondering what I'm about to do next... I'm about to start on an art piece to fill up my portfolio. :) Thanks for your attention~ I still wonder... Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 8:26 PM A moment to reflect, a moment to live
Ever since all J2s stepped down from CCA and had more time to focus on our studies, life has been more or less non-motivating and everyday's about the same. I have shamelessly spent every single day of my June holidays studying and yet, receiving terrible results and feeling numb about it. Setting aside the time to read notes is one thing but having the determination to complete many practices in one seating is another greater challenge I have yet been able to survive through. When will I ever be able to do sufficient practices and improve? Why is it that I can't even manage the questions you people feel are the basics? If it's all about the desire, why is it that I lack it? But amongst these, I realised that I have a new found pleasure of studying when I have the time. Not sure if it contributes to reducing my guilty spirit but it kind of pleases me to know that I'm clearing the workload and putting in effort for my upcoming A levels. _____ I remember raving about the past A Divisions for Tchouk just a few months back. They were never wrong when they claimed that enjoyable time spent always feel shorter than they really are. Now I'm already buckling the seat belts for a ride towards A levels. Everyday has been endless struggles for me as I try my very best to catch up and rack my brains to understand everything. Why does it look so effortless for others? When I attempted to return to the past, I discovered something. Yesterday, I went back to the htc to visit the juniors and in hope to search for the motivation that held my spirits together in J1. I've always recognised the htc as my second home rather than my school. But yesterday, I felt, for the first time, a part of me that shared the relationship with the htc died. It's not like I've never felt awkward standing inside there but being not involved in the action really killed me from within. It's a privilege of limited time only for those studying in J1 and in the team to experience. And sadly, my time there is up and it's time for me to move on... Maybe some day in the future, I'd find passion in something again and be able to pursue in the future. :) _____ We all need some form of reassurance every now and then. Thank you for being around to chase away those dark thoughts of mine. My family and my close friends, for being in this together with me. :) Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 3:03 PM We can't avoid the inevitable but seriously, not now when we've done nothing!
Recently, I begun watching this Korean drama ("not again..." you might be thinking)
From what I understand, it's about this group of boys who come together to play ROCK music and have fun. Every one of them has some dramatic and sad family background so they rely much on each other for warmth and support. The brotherhood amongst them is really heart-warming. When they faced financial difficulty (needing to buy expensive uniforms in their new school), all of them worked hard to come up with the cash. They participated in snooker matches and even worked part-time jobs to raise enough money.
Throughout the first episode, I really liked this dude whom I felt was the ringleader and main character - ByungHee. He had the most swag, fought well and loved to put on a thick smudge of eye-liner.
However, I found out yesterday that in the second episode, he died.
Brilliant. -_-
I am currently watching the third episode to find out how the matter was handled.
And apparently I cried so hard just watching his friends attempt getting over his death.
I think I'm a pretty sentimental person because I tend to put too much feelings into what I see through my eyes. In a way, whatever the scenario is, I would subconsciously put myself into the person's shoes. And in this case, I kinda imagined what if my best friend was killed and the indirect / direct culprit was a freaking bitch/ass that we both hated. Gosh. I don't think I would be able to control myself.
Our lives are that fragile if you think about it and a push, a fall can be real severe. We can really use the extra alertness and live our lives more safely such as not using the phone when you cross roads, stop jay-walking or walking on the cycling path, perhaps even listening to your surroundings instead of blasting music into both ears. Oh, and mainly for adults, NEVER drink and drive! Soooooooo dangerous! Now I'm beginning to sound like an aunty.
Hey y'all, now would be a good time to grab your phone (IDC if it's a telephone or lousy phone), call/ text your best friends and let them know how much they really mean to you! Well, it may be too sudden so it'll be recommended that you just wish them a good day or tell them a joke. HAHA. Or yeah, call to catch up if you havent been doing so.
This is too dramatic. FINE, do what you want GAHHHH.
_____
anyway, i've got this nice shade of demon blue on my left hand nails.
awesome.
my third time trying this on my own!
awesome colour. NO JOKE.
wish i could put up a picture but I'm really lazy and ITnoob. HAHAH.
Today was an awesome day out with The SHEEW.
They inspired me to work harder next year cause I'm gonna use a notebook to take down commitments.
Planner but not quite planner. (Y)
My handwritings gonna be the huge obstacle.
yeah.
cheerios~
Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 9:25 PM No regrets, remember? Time to unchain my heart...
It is rumoured that the world ends tomorrow. 21/12/12
Sounds... pretty sadistic right?
Well, people all around (on twitter / facebook etc) have been coming up with all the random-est sh**.
Some people may just be insensitively joking about death but deep inside, I'm sure nobody wants to die yet.
Death, what a scary word.
To die when you haven't even accomplish anything you dreamt of, is painful.
To die when you've just entered the world, is scary.
To die with regrets, is frustrating.
To die while sleeping, makes no sense.
To die with a chained up heart is not what I or anybody else wants.
For this past year, it was harsh.
I dare to admit that it has been non-motivational, lonely and mentally draining.
I was so used to depending on this person to spin my world that when we separated, I didn't expect it would be difficult.
I was cleaning the room this morning and found the paper board you made and I didn't stop the memories from swimming back. This post is for you.
Thinking back, I remember how it all started with text messages and erm, grapes? HAHA.
How the HFMD survivor (we both know who this is) was indirectly the one to spark the messages.
Our first alone-out-time was at.... *drumroll* a library (Wow?) for some school. holiday. homework.
Imagine that.
We enjoyed sharing so many experiences that most of the time, we just walked and talked and explored Singapore. The feeling of just being next to each other was enough to distract us from caring about what the heck we were even doing or where the heck we were going.
It's comical how we both made a silent confession to each other when we held hands and we didn't let go.
Well, I searched my brain web and turns out that this section of the history wasn't deleted.
Breakfast sandwiches with ham. Yummy. Getting rid of cockroach corpse and THE joke. (yeap, I still remember.) That day when you showed up at the void deck so unexpectedly late. That overhead bridge I would take after twelve. Mr Webs. That penguin with "scary eyes". Ghas. Tape? I remember tape! Amazing. watermelon + strawberry. (-_-) How you never fail to write uber long cards for me and a time when I was so touched I cried (oh so embarrassingly) The endless encouragements ever since when we were just friends. Bottle of stars @the beach. All the first times that I would never forget.
It is almost impossible to forget someone who gave you so much to remember and received so much of your love.
I know you told me before that you don't believe in friendship after break-ups.
I promised January but I think everything has changed. I wonder if you still kept the things I gave you.
How I wish we could just meet up and talk but I don't think I have the courage to text you first.
Stupid and pathetic me.
It feels like we were so close and now, just strangers.
Is this what you want?
I have left my feelings chained up inside my heart for quite some time.
It is very uncomfortable so today I've decided to let go.
The period of time we shared was definitely freaking dramatic and I think I was so caught up in the whirlpool of emotions that nothing else mattered that much.
When I think back to those times, I will still cry. Not tears of regret or pity but tears of gratitude to creator for letting our paths cross. heh, but deep inside I know this is kinda the worse... the irony.
Because there are three types of lines.
Lines that are collinear, parallel lines and lines that intersect at a point.
And our fate lines seem to get further and further apart as time brings us into the future.
It would be a total lie to say I don't miss you but at least now, at this time, I'm ready to let gooooooooooo.
I will move on from this chapter, I promise~
HEHE, whatever's in the past IS the past.
:D HOHOHO! and santa goes "MERRY CHRISTMAS!"
*feeling aload better now.
Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:55 AM Seemingly near yet in all actual fact, so damn far...
I feel that I am a person who don't really know how to react most of the time. Regardless of whether it's an embarrassing situation, one that may be awkward or during a simple conversation, the way I act has the ability to make others irritated or frustrated. (in my opinion) This is a reason why I have always appreciated people who initiate the conversation and keep it going without stressing me for a reply. Pretty ironically, when I exclaim excitedly about something, I do hope for a similar response. (even though I am unable to do what I hope others to do) Well, bear with me cause I'm really trying my best. :/ I tend to regret / reflect about my actions only afterwards... heh. _____ I brought my mum to the Tchoukball MBT Cup competition today to watch some matches and support the guy team at the same time. WOOHOO! So proud of my CCA! HAHA! Couldn't stop laughing at my mother who was agonising and commenting non-stop over some of the games. She kinda spoke out what was in my mind.. HAHAHAHAHA! Cute mama :'D Anyway, after watching the matches today, I feel the random urge to train hard again :O I confess that I lost some of the motivation before today but watching every other team play so passionately and skilfully made me sooooooooooooooooo excited! Applause to our guy team who managed to cause an uproar in the CC! HAHA! I was so amazed to see Genesis shocked and in panic even for that few moments. (Y) OHYEAH! TCHOUKBALL RAWKS! HEEHEE! I promise to work hard. Tchouk and Studies. Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 9:38 PM Oxymoronically new and old feelings...
Today's Thursday but somehow, it feels like Friday already!
This shows how badly I really want the weekends to come... :)
Another week has past and a whole load of new information has again forcefully made its way into my puny brain. I figured out that I spend quite a load of time figuring out how to figure out the new knowledge and especially how exactly to apply them in the tutorial questions.
Well, I guess I am somehow adapting to the constant mad rush not only for tutorials but also projects and presentations, though I am still trying to get the hang of presenting without feeling worried.
On the academic side, I am seriously lagging behind.
Let me see, I've got mathematics, chemistry, biology and economics tutorial to complete... ( which is about almost everything) and to top it all, I have PW solutions as garnish.
I am currently facing difficulty understanding and processing everything taught in lectures and tutorials.
Most of the time, I can't concentrate (i think) and I end up stoning there.
My brain feels so saturated at times like these and I can't force myself to think!
It gets pretty irritating (for myself) because I sincerely want to contribute.
Anyway, I haven't gotten back all the papers from the Block Test but I've received my math and chem papers already. Considering the fact that I did study for Chemistry, getting a 'S' wasn't what I expected..
As for math, I felt that the paper was inhumanly tough but apparently, more than half of the school begged to differ. While 33% were rewarded with As and 22% managed Bs (statistics from my math teacher), I scrapped a hard and cold U.
It is truly puzzling how the brains of geniuses work...
I know of people are are impressively hardworking (and some of them even have loads of time on their hands) but it is also easy to identify those who have the pure talent and flair in academic subjects.
What's the difference between them and me?
Determination?
_____
Beach tchoukball is coming~
However, I've landed myself with a wound that doesn't seem to close, a bruise on the side of the knee and the shin splint (is this how you spell it?) thingy. The wound and the bruise happen to be at areas where I would definitely have contact with the sand so I'm pretty worried and scared I might cause my team any inconvenience.
I love tchoukball and I really want to be a reliable + imba + short + erratic player on the team...
I am going to strive for a real competition on Sunday and give it my very best!
Trust my coach, my team-mates and my abilities! WHEE~
_____
What's on my mind these few days:
- effective ways to attack and defend (obviously about tchouk)
- how to understand my lectures and tutorials better so that I can help klutzy, katiard and myself.
- diet (no joke. I gained 3kg and though my friends told me it is muscles, I beg to differ)
- PW solutions
- how to appreciate others (i feel that I should do something to encourage those around me who are super diligent and full of perseverance though they are THAT tired)
- what do people need now in life?
_____
Trying hard to appreciate life as it is...
Real harsh but plainly simple
Full of pricks yet embraces us like a cloud-like bed...
Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 5:27 PM Just BEAR with it...
I have just realised that Blogger actually conducts a page view counter and apparently, I've had 20 views yesterday. Wow, that's a lot... for ONE DAY, don't you think? :OThe first week of Term 3 is FINALLY over. Somehow, I've been waiting for today to come because that'll mean a s.t.o.p. in the pile-age of homework and projects. When work piles up so fast, it's hard to breath and I feel like I'd succumb to the pressure any moment. I may seem calm on the outside and feel calm on the inside but truthfully, I want to enter a sound-proof room and scream to my heart's content. Undoubtedly the work, now compared to before, is more difficult and I am older in terms of years but I've always felt like my mental capabilities remained at the age of a Primary schooler. Well, sitting in lectures means learning new knowledge so there is a reason why the things teachers talk about are so confusing and complicated sounding. What makes it so much worse is that even during English Lessons (GP) and Science lessons, I find it hard to keep up. Perhaps it's all because of my all-time super LOW general knowledge and world-awareness... ): I know there are others out there who are really trying hard to cope with balancing their commitments and academics, so I don't have the rights to claim that I have no time and no mood. Estee once posted this quote on fb which I found true. "Of course it's hard. It's supposed to be hard. If it were easy, everybody could do it. Hard is what makes it great." So I guess I'll just have to bite my lips and hang on till the end. Trust my teachers, trust my friends and trust myself. _____ Recently, I'm on a diet. Yes. I can't stand my mum nagging about me getting fatter because of the random addiction to bubbletea and other random bottle drinks I like to bring home. The problem is : I see that too and I know I'm becoming fatter. It's just so terrible to hear from her and letting her squish the extra fats around my tummy. ): Anyway, I managed to scrimp and safe and diet this whole week. I only ate lunch on Thursday while the other days I had hot dog bun or just water. To think I was going to save close to my entire weekly allowance of $50... Then unfortunately, I had to pay $20 for econs and chem notes, another $20 for bio and math and $16 for the faculty pull-over... Heh... save... _____ Beach Tchoukball competitions are coming but I've accidentally scrapped my right knee cap. SIA LA... It's not very serious just that I didnt apply anything for the past three days and the pain only stopped this afternoon... I want to be the small + reliable + Imba right wing... I want to be recognised for having skills. I want to become good at this sport I like. HAHA... Then at least I feel satisfaction from JC life... Gonna work on the spins from left and high degree shots from both sides in the coming week. Since I cannot shoot that well at the beach, I'm going to focus more on defending! Whoots! :D I love tchoukball~ _____ I miss estee, xinyue and president... I know I ain't that good but I'll work towards improving myself. Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Friday, July 6, 2012 at 9:58 PM wild dreams I've ever had + my life right now = why does it all look so bad?
28th April 2012 I realise that I seemingly always talk about how time flies on my blog. HAHA, amazing. Everyday, it's somebody's birthday and we are all turning older day by day. What have I actually achieved in this 16 years of my life, I tend to ask myself. Well, I grew up, I disappointed my parents (like any other teen), I played, I struggled, I was foolish and nuts, I made my parents proud and importantly, I dreamt. Dreams. What exactly are they? Images you see when you drift to lalaland when you close your eyes every night? The fantasy world you always wished you were in? Whatever they mean to you, it is undeniable that living your dreams would make one happy. It is because I look back into my life that I realise how I haven't been doing anything much with it. How long more do I have on this Earth? There's kinda so many things I want to experience and so many sights I want to see but I don't know where to start and I don't know how I can even do it. HAHAH. Wild dreams... :) To live... With... _____ It's now a time for me to rattle about some stuff that I don't understand... I realise that I don't understand many things o.o HAHAHA... Is it a crime to fall asleep / doze off during tutorials or lectures? I mean, yeah, teachers work hard and so do students... Personally, I try real hard to stay awake. Most of the time, I find myself struggling this battle alone. HAHA. My friends now, they don't seem to fall asleep at all. -.- You can ask any of them... I doze off and then I wake up trying not to doze off again.. It's difficult. Really. That's why we bring sweets and other stuff to stay awake. Not to mention, I feel that talking and discussing actually keeps me awake... Nowadays, I find myself spacing out quite often. The teacher's voice is there but I can't seem to register what they say into my brain. It is like they fade off into the background and then you'll ask, what's in the foreground? Nothing. Blank. Emptiness. What I am trying to say is, will someone invent a spray or something to keep people awake? Perhaps an alternative to coffee?? What keeps me going now is... tchoukball. HEH. yeah. Coach said if we don't do well for our studies, he ain't letting us play. Oh well... It somehow irritates me to see how other's get so affected by results and grades... Does that really mean everything? _____ Oh and peeps, I think The Hunger Games series is such an amazing story. I can't explain to you what it really is because I'm quite bad at words... I can only tell you how I have been trying over these past few nights to put that book down and do some constructive work. Smiley face. Now that I am done with the three books, I feel like re-reading all of them, re-watching the movie and wait for the rest to come out. HAHAHA. LALALA~ _____ I shall bring my bro to eat good food later. LOL. Sometimes, it just takes that few precious moments of courage to follow your heart... But it is that sacred that I haven't been able to do so... Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... On Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 5:17 PM “八字的确有两丿” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!, i am still waiting for the call.
I am so damn tired. Physically! Hahaha! Currently trying out to use my phone to blog... Seems to be going quite well. Anyway, I am now sitting on my bus home! AHHHH! Another day of work!~ Glad I met up with my boy in the afternoon. Though it didn't last long, it feels good to see him. I miss him so much... His smell, his shoulder, his hands... HIM! GAHH... Anyway, I was called back to work cause of the lack of manpower. It feels good to know that I would be thought of as good assistance. As in, they bothered to call when they needed help which means I provide help that is recognized and appreciated! :) YAY~ After so many weeks of working, I've once again feel that I've learnt something precious. Relationship with colleagues. I dare to say that I don't like some of my colleagues. Hahah. Just like how you don't like certain behaviors or personality of family members or friends, I find certain feelings I derived from them hard to accept. But this isn't the lesson I've learnt. Instead, it is the fact that every organization or group that work together must accept each and everyone's personality and deal with it. Yeah, I know how this person acts and how he or she may be like at times so, I accept it and try to understand. HENCE, not holding grudges! Mmhmm! No matter how angst or upset OR IRRITATED you may be, put up with it and treat the other with equal amount of respect like any other human being. However, it would really work out if everyone in the restaurant treats each other sincerely, with respect and look out for each other. Cause right now, I don't feel that level of teamwork yet and I doubt it'll come easy within a year. HOW I WISH WE CAN ALL GO OUT ON ONE OF THE CNY HOLS WHEN THE SHOP IS CLOSED! :/ But, i guess it won't happen... Sometimes i am actually confused towards kindness towards me. True from the heart or just to make me feel good. heh. Some i can tell, some I can't. It's a mystery. Tell me. Anyway, it's been decided, I am going to bring my family there next Saturday.. SHHH...!! HEEHEE~ Truthfully to say, some days I feel like "why the hell am i here." when i screw up big time or when I feel those feelings i dislike. But on some other days I feel that strong bond within this small family. This two opposites make it hard to decide when i should stop working.. ARGH. _____ By the way.. i am using my computer now. Cause it turns out that there's some error with the blogger via phone. _____ Ohya, i want to thank creator so much for sparing time to listen to my prayer. HAHA. It freaking came true~! So happy!! :D I prayed that we'd have a full house today and yeah, FULL HOUSE OHYEAHHH~!! (background cheering) Though it's been a week plus since the end of Os, it feels like MONTHS to me~ HAHAHA! The after effects of Olevels... i guess? _____ work. 赚钱难,花钱超容易! I took up the agency offer from xinyue along with president and we entered the crazy and messy workplace with zeal and nervousness. The uniform check was strict and I was sent back into the toilet a few times! (ARGH!) The uniform collection area was SO COOL! It reminded me so much of the movie "Monster Inc" HAHAHA! Our uniforms were cool too, i guess :) Shall skip everything and go straight to the actual hardwork! I was assigned to do the Canupus (Is this how you spell it?! :O) What we basically have to do is enter the kitchen, collect a long dish with cute, small snacks, exit the kitchen, serve the guests, enter the kitchen, send the dirty dishes to the cleaning corner, return to your chef and the whole cycle REPEATS over and over! i swear i entered and exited more than 30 times!! Okay, not sure how many but, seriously, no joke, MANY TILL I CANNOT COUNT! Anyway, the kitchen was filled with cheeky chefs that were irritating... LOL! Let me attempt narrating the ball room scene. "Everywhere was dark and smelt like a mixture of wine, beer and perfume except for the kitchen. I was threading from one end of the football sized ballroom to the other amongst the seemingly endless walls that engulfed me, being extra careful not to hit into any guests or cause any trouble for myself by spilling the food. It was difficult to see any of their faces due to mine and their height. It was exceptionally challenging to speak up because of the booming music. Before I knew it, my arms longed for a break so much that they showed me overt unhappiness. I felt elated and jubilant about smiling and serving and I would definitely do it again some time without a doubt. :)" Alas, we received our pay at the end of the day and rushed for our free ride home. Unfortunately, we didn't quite make it so.. we had to wait for the 1:30 am ride for an hour. I tried so hard to stay awake but I did doze off along the way... *heehee* My beloved shoes loved me so much they bit me and painted passion red on the sides of my feet. WHEE~ Work was fun. HAHA. But, definitely tiring! _____ TPRAWKS DAY 2 > Day 1. The most interesting thing about Day 1 was the visit to the School of Design! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! SUPER TEMPTING! :O One word. Professional. Their study environment was like an actual office! Everyone sorta have their own space to produce brilliant designs of all sorts! GAHHHHH! The atmosphere was amazing. Regardless of apparel design, art work or media, ALL OF THEM BLEW MY MIND AWAY! WOAH! I want to be able to feel proud of my work for once!! :) ohya and erm.. when i was walking through, i actually wished i had a boyfriend from design. HEH, in my dreams! Moving on... DAY 2! Time passed so much faster compared to yesterday! I had SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun today! It started off with a visit to the School of Engineering. Mind = blown. again. The students are so damn talented. gah..! Shall not reveal the awesome products I saw. Go see for yourself~ Lunch was fantastic~ BK rodeo wings rawk! Then, we had the hip-hop lesson~ Learnt a new choreo~ WHEE~ The lessons we took last time came in handy~ At least we know how to do the stretching. had fun~ Then, we moved on to games!~ WHOOTS! My team pwned the game! *Faints* so much teamwork~ hahaha! Afterthat, we went for... *drumroll* DRAGON BOATING! Hell yeah! The feeling is seriously addictive. The wind against your face, people shouting the timing all around you and your paddle pushing against the waters! BUT, we got splashed all over by the in-charge dudes! :( They purposely walk past you and use their beakers to scoop water and pour it all over you. AHHHHHH! T_T I smelt like reservoir water! Tea break rawked too~ Brownie!~ *heavenly look* OMG! DO YOU KNOW!! CELL AND I DRANK... *drumroll* JAM WATER!! HAHAHAHHA! no joke. anyway, it ended with the mass dance. not bad, it is fun only when your partner wants to make it fun with you. haha! though it was pretty awkward and i wished you were there... ANYWAY, tomorrow is the visit to HSS! WHOOTS! FINALLLLLLLLLLLLY! I cant wait~ Psychology~~~~~~~~~~~ HERE I COME~ WHEEE! Ohya. I dont understand why some people like to act bitchy and bimbotic o.o Is it really how they are? I believe there's always good in a person.. What's with wearing make up?! And yeah, I fiddle with my phone but when it's time to cheer, I scream like some ass. I may not do a good job but I contribute. sincerely, if we could change groups, i would. LOL. If becoming 17 means such attitude, I'd rather not. Even the 15 year olds are doing a great job! Do yall even understand what T.E.A.M. means...? And whats with the random explosion of f-words?! You're girls... :\ and screaming such crude words at trivial matter just brings down the power and impact of this word! If your mother died and you shouted that, nobody would mind. If you were trapped under debri and tore off your arms and legs to stay alive while shouting that continuously, I would shout it with you. But getting a forfeit after a mini game / getting splashed by reservoir water and exclaiming the f-word just seems so... unnecessary and harsh to the ears. Does anyone agree with me...? :\ Yeah lar, we may be a bunch of lame teammates but you have no rights to complain about your team because you contribute to what we are. While you were worrying about sweating, we were bruising in our throats and having the time of our lives playing without you. HAH. Yall look like people with big dreams but oh well, you have a long way to go. :O And yeah, I am a wallflower but i go with the flow, I give my best when needed. It may not be the best but i contribute and make the best out of my situation. hmm, now to think of it, i am quite crappy. no wonder everyone daos me. LOL. _____ You have your space and I have mine but at the end of the day, let's share one and feel fine. no drifting, no lifting and no kidding, i want this to be the best thing. yeah. no joke. :D loveya! <3 Am i who i think i am or what you think i am? cause who i think i am ain't what you think i am. i just want to be who i am but who exactly am i? Yesterday was quite a torture.. NO JOKE!I had a weird fever, a sore throat and my whole body ached like never before!! It wasn't something i expected and of course, it was scaryyyyyyyyyyy! Tried my best to tolerate the sickness that was spreading through my vessels every second but ended up lying on the cold, hard floor at 9:30pm and had a difficult time getting up. Breathing rate was low and inhalation came in gasps after gasps. Before long, I actually couldn't take it any longer so I collasped around 10 in my bedroom. BUT, it was mental and physical torture. I knew I musn't switch on the fan so I laid there under my blanket in the dark. Then i felt it... That sore feeling in the joints of my legs. ARGH. Simply thinking of that pain creeps me out... I tried to control myself but soon realised i was moving my legs in hope to get rid of that aching feeling. Next thing I knew, I was sobbing pathetically with my warm teardrops smeared all over my face as I tossed and turn constantly. I fell asleep shortly after (idk when) and woke up again at 12 plus breathing hard. For a period of 4hours, between 12plus and 4plus, I woke up more than a couple of times. I have no idea why but I couldn't differentiate between waking and dreaming... Sounds like Midsummer Night's Dream but... nah~ COMING BACK, I keep remembering this formula. It kept ringing in my brains. something equating to zero.. I cant recall. Everytime i wake up I will remind myself of this formula. Don't ask me why, I JUST DONT KNOW! Now to think of it, it's extremely scary...! The very last dream before I wake up for school at 5 was crazy too. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I dreamt that I was taking my HCL Olevels and somehow, one of the examiner saw me as a thorn in her eyes. She kept picking on me, scolding.. no, more like mocking me for no reason! How I wish she tripped over a random wire on the floor and hit her head on the table. Whoopsie~ Anyway, when we flipped the paper open, it was a super difficult higher level science question. "What the heck!?" I thought... "Isn't it suppose to be a language paper?!" And there, I woke up. _____ I shall save the effort of telling you about my papers this morning. _____ I've got SIX numbers today~ HAHAHA Cell and I combed the entire Tampines mall and T1 for part time jobs. HAHAH! Madness. Defintely madness + partial failure. :D Well of course there were nice AND nasty shop assistants. Nice ones like those at Dorothy P. :) Nasty ones like the one at Sfield that went BROM BROM BROM and the one at Pmod who was totally BLEH. (descriptions credited to CELL) rejection after rejection... GAHHHHHHHHHH! Trying our luck after Olevels again!! Which lucky shop is going to get ahemthistwolovelyladiesahem? CANT WAIT TILL AFTER Os! 3more papers~ :D _____ after all those, I am still sick. GAH! Finished emath paper and my supposed break but i just can't bring myself to sit back and start with lit... _____ Break was great~ :) I did abit of sketching while listening to music and singing at the same time.. Missed that feeling... It's been quite a while since i settled down and drew stuff. _____ I guess i can't bring myself to start another subject revision mainly because i am disturbed. By what? some irresponsible teachers. (maybe not that drastic but oh well, might as well get to a BIG topic) heh. I do admit that in our lives, we'll meet teachers that really give their best for their students - willing to sacrifice their free time to help us understand certain topics or concepts that we cant grasp, buying us candies to cheer us up and gifts to reward us for our hard work and diligence.. They show us through their every action their passion in their career - teaching! Regardless of how hopeless it may seem, these brilliant teachers are like the twig at the side of the cliff when you grab on to survive in the world of education. their dedication and passion spur us on to never give up and fight the 'battle' alongside with them! Such teachers, undoubtedly, paints a wideeeeeeeeee smile on our faces~ however inevitably, we do face certain acts some teachers do that just deters us from wanting to even pick up the book. it is true that we tend to remember the negative and ugly side of people we don't have a good impression of rather than the pleasant and kind other half they present. ... sometimes, it makes me feel as if adults and children are no different. i thought being an adult was a totally different thing. more authority, more maturity etc but sometimes i can't bring myself to understand their actions... furthermore, they are 'teachers' for crying out loud... aren't they suppose to set the examples for us? don't they know that when dealing with a large group of students, certain words and actions are kinda hurting? i dont know... at moments, i feel that certain teachers are so occupied in their own world. [perhaps struggling to survive dealing with their own responsibilities in the education field or dealing with their own personal life... who knows. ] that they just neglect the fact that students are humans with emotions too. especially at this critical period of time... maybe we should try to understand your side of the story? -its the holidays and you're feeling the holiday mood. -we are difficult to teach -you feel that you've done enough. -you feel that we've been slacking too much and know it's too late to try to work hard so.. -or you have your own personal reasons we wont ever know thereby leading us to infer the above. i know that we are indeed in need of thee help from you but to say that.. isn't it just so.. heartless..? i dont know, ugh. _____ this is one of those times when you would oh-so-very-much wish you were still in Primary School. haha! _____ i guess i'll just leave this computer as i return to that cold and lonely seat by the piano and start mugging lit.. hold on, winnie... you're doing this not for the sake of others but for yourself. learn and live. overcome and strive. hungry must eat. An official 1hour waiting time for a bus beats all records! Muahaha!Anyone with a better timing? =] Well, I was waiting for bus yesterday and it just showed be 2 things from such a simple act of waiting for a bus. 1. SBS needs more improvement. (hey, they're great already, providing such services.) 2. The ugly side of humans. Somehow, I guess because of the food expo, there was aload of people on bus 12. It's just like when you try to squeeze an extra chocolate into a box that only holds 10. It won't make it in no matter how small it is unless it becomes liquid of gaseous, whih is highly impossible. In that 1 hour, three buses came. The first two were single-decks. I managed to get on the third one which was a double-decker. Phew. Pretty lucky though i'm not in a rush. Perhaps others have waited even longer than me. I was thinking maybe SBS should stay relevant to the events happening around Singapore. Like for this case, since there is a food expo, I suggest that they send more buses that head for the expo. MAYBE, they've already done so in preparation for such incidents but evidence prove that the efforts were not enough. Hmm, xeap, so... a new strategy? =] BUT I must say that the services they provide is commendable. The bus master would greet sleepy passengers like me in the morning and that would make me feel happy throughout the day! The ugly side of humans. Xeap. Selfish and uncaring creatures that exists as upperclass animals only. Every time the bus arrives at the traffic light around 200m away, people would start crowding at that particular spot where the bus would come to a stop. Okay, this is nothing out of the ordinary for Singaporeans. When the bus doors open, it becomes a mad chaos of who can squeeze themselves upon the bus. Nobody even bothers to check for elderly or needy who need the ride more urgently. The scene was so dramatic I think that there were definitely many unhappy passengers and the injured aboard. Tsk tsk. I lost the battle because I didn't even get a chance to stand a few cm away from the doors. HAHA. But, I know I was nudged here and there and it ain't a good feeling. Nonetheless, I'M FINEE! HOHO. Seriously, we can all learn from Japan. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. From this experience, I can totally imagine a scene when the world becomes terribly flooded and there's only one boat. Everyone would be fighting and going mad to get on the boat, not caring about those who really cannot swim. SO many deaths, so much disappointment... Instead, why not just chain youself up, form layers grabbing the sides of the boat while letting the elder people sit onboard. Then maybe we could take turns to sit onboard too. Although it may not be the best idea but at least things are in order and we could all think of a better idea together! _____ LALALA, a bear likes a penguin and treats the penguin like honey~ yay~ _____ one day when the sky is falling, I'll be standing right next to you, right next to you~ nothing will ever come between us, cause i'll be standing right next to you, right next to you~ stand by my side, side, side, stand by my side~ Labels: Smilez and frowns everyday... Recently started watching this korean drama called《贝多芬病毒》.I realised a huge problem we're currently facing after watching the 3rd episode... Well, there was conflict with the conductor and the band, so in the third epi, the girl spoke up against the conductor. She mentioned that "the band needs a conductor whom they can rely on to help correct their mistakes. A conductor who is willing to go through thick and thin with the band..." And yes, the conductor was super pro. He's skills were awesome just that he has this sickening attitude that prevents him to show a tiny sense of mercy when he lashes out at the members. Basically, you could say they were all scared of him and hence therefore unable to perform under stress. It makes me think... It is obvious that the individual members in the show are strong in their own instruments but to make great music that is comfortable for thy heart and soothing for thy ears, they must work together and then, under the baton of their conductor can they finally rise up and conjure great music. It reminds me of what Mr Wong used to say... "Listen to what others are playing. Don't only focus on your score. Look up and open your ears." Before he left, I guess that was what we were working on... Listening. Only if we listen then can we match our individual instruments to instruments of the same kind then slowly slowly to instruments of other sections and eventually the entire band. Well, that's if we individually practise and work on our skills first... Only after we know the score technically then can we move on to the emotional and deeper intent of the score... By then, that's where the conductor comes in to help in that aspect of making us feel the music and giving out the correct messages. Not nag at us for random rhythm and blah blah... However, in our current situation, we are totally unlike the people in the show who would do anything for music. Their passion for music is overwhelming. Because of that they are commited to practising on their own, sacrificing their night time to practise... Their unity makes me so jealous. Even if I am a noob in my instrument, I will feel super proud to belong in such a wonderful band... Don't you think so? If your peers work hard with you, if your peers share a common goal just like you and the thought of succeeding with your peers is totally something that would knock you off your feet. I've once experienced that but it didn't last long... I guess what would be my wish for now would be to concentrate on flute... AND my anime. _____ ![]() Black rock shooter is super cool._____ Like We Used To by A Rocket to the Moon I could feel her breath as she's sleeping next to me Sharing pillows and cold feet She can feel my heart; fell asleep to its beat Under blankets and warm sheets If only I could be in that bed again If only it were me instead of him Does he watch your favorite movies? And Estee's going to be real busy worrying about her crazy ruan competition and grading... Soon, I'll be alone again. SIGH~ LOL.Anyway, I guess this means I have more time to practise my flute... _____ My conductor has finally decided that we play Der Vogelhandler for SYF. Finally a decision, finally a goal. I must work towards that goal~ Yesterday was the second time we played it in school. Surprisingly there was a tutor! YAY!!! Mr Chua. =O YAY! WE HAVE A TUTOR~ Personally, I felt super stresses when I first saw him, but after the tutorial, I find him rather motivating. LOL. So different from our previous one. Mr Chua is pro, though not as pro as the previous but I don't really care now. At least we have a tutor! Felt quite embarrassed when I can't really play my part well. Ugh. Moreover, we played it in the concourse infront of the NCC/NPCC/GirlGuides. Ugh. Super Paiseh nia. HENCE, I've set my mind, I WILL PRACTISE HARD FOR SYF and THE CONCERT... Justin Bieber has broke his voice... SO soon... T_T Well, I knew he was going to but not so soon... I sorta cried upon knowing this morning when I was youtube-ing... The thought that he himself can't sing the songs he used to sing and the thought that so many people will take the chance to laugh and critisize him even more just makes me super upset. To tell the truth, I loved his previous voice but I'm not like some crazy fan. And I still think his songs sound better with his previous voice... "I'm not some superpower human who doesn't go through puberty." Was what he said. Though it sounded a little irritated by the reporter's question with a tinge of yeah-i-know-i'm-undergoing-puberty-andyou're-not-the-only-one-who's-noticed, but also a tinge of trying to comfort himself, annoyed by his current situation. I wonder if he gets upset because of his plight. Like how I would feel most of the time when I always can't get my flute sound to sound nice... T_T Jiayou Justin Bieber! Today was the somewhat the worst day in school life.Early in the morning I had super super stomachache. The stuff just keeps churning like mad and the constant chemical reaction was driving me nuts. I didn't know what the lala was this pain. I never had it before. Yanling told me it was gastrics. Ugh. I got gastrics early in the morning?! Turns out it happened because I ate my medicine immediately after just drinking milk. Ugh again. T_T Why am I so unfortunate. LOL. Okay, not as bad as those living in run down countries I guess. Not as painful like them. Well, all I know was I couldn't even breathe properly. The pain was so terrible. It was like PAIN no pain PAIN no pain PAIN no pain. One word. Terrible. I tried resisting the pain. I knew it was the only thing I could do. I thought it would end fast. Before I knew, I started crying in class. wtlala. Yes. No joke. It's that pain. Started thinking if I cannot present the yes competition reflection to the sec2s with my friends, I'll so regret it. YL and Estee brought me to the 'sick bay' currently under maintainence. The teachers told me can't provide oral medication told me to drink milk. Walked to canteen. No milk. Another teacher say dont drink milk. -.-''' So drank warm milo. Oh, I needa pay my president tomorrow... LOL. It didnt get better. I was still in pain. Returned to class and somehow, it was chemistry. I didnt have the heart to learn. Spent the entire lesson tolerating the immense pain from my stomach area. Wondering if I was going to die. The whole thing lasted from the beginning of lessons (745) till recess (1030) -.-''' Yes, the whole time suffering.
